| Letting go... |

It really is hard letting go of someone you care about. Especially after 12 years. She may not think so, but I truly believed they were 12 good years not worth giving up on. But the mistakes made were my own, and I can, will have to live with that. I sent her an email today telling her unless we are talking Rhiannon, or until such time she is able to let go of her pain, hatred, anger, etc for me, to not communicate. While the idea was her's originally last week, we had started talking again because I like being there for her, and I love her. Does she still truly love me? I do not know, but she did not choose me. The man she chose is a decent, hard working, honorable person. I respect him a great deal, and I felt if I was still working so hard to rebuild with Jess, then he would not get a fair shot at anything with her. So I let go. If only by my outward actions. Letting go in my heart has not happened, may not happen, and if it does, it will be only after a very long time. mood:  crushed music: Billy Joel "And So It Goes" |
